Research Focus
The ExposUM Institute’s research focus aims to accelerate the generation of knowledge about the exposome. This focus encompasses all environmental and social factors, as well as their interactions with individuals’ biological characteristics, that influence the onset and progression of human diseases, whether infectious or noncommunicable.
Using an interdisciplinary and coordinated approach, this research area mobilizes human and technological resources to address major societal challenges, particularly in the fields of health, the environment, and data science.
The research division issues calls for research proposals (AAP-R). Each year, thematic calls encourage innovative and interdisciplinary approaches. Successful projects receive funding to cover personnel, equipment, and operating costs.
In addition, the research division supports fellowship projects, enabling researchers to be hosted on a temporary basis to strengthen scientific collaborations. The ExposUM Institute is committed to scientific research that addresses societal challenges. In particular, it focuses on emerging themes such as the One Health concept.
