DU in Environmental Health for Primary Care: Registration Now Open for 2026–2027
The University of Montpellier and the ExposUM Institute, with the support and fundingof the Occitanie Regional Health Agency, are launching an innovative project in the field of environmental health education: the creation of aSmall Private Online Course(SPOC) dedicated to environmental health in primary care.

Following a year of study marked by the defense of projects led by its first graduating class, the university degree program “Environmental Health Training for Primary Care”is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The main objective of this training is to provide the skills needed to move from the stage of assessing and studying environmental impacts to that of implementing concrete, coordinated, and structured actions.
Our goal:to promote the gradual integration of environmental health into professional practices and to support the development of initiatives tailored to local realities in primary care.
This project is part of Priority Area 1, “Informing, Training, and Educating on Health and the Environment,” ofthe Occitanie Regional Health and Environment Plan(PRSE4 Occitanie 2023–2028). This SPOC (Small Private Online Course) is a type of MOOC designed for a specific audience, aimed at providing professionals, local governments, and citizens with the skills they need to take action on environmental and health issues.
Intended primarily for health coordinators, this training program is also open to health professionals—both in the public and private sectors—who wish to develop multidisciplinary initiatives in environmental health for primary care in their region, as well as to students in initial training who are interested in gaining experience in this field.
The University Diploma in “Environmental Health Training for Primary Care” is offered by the University of Montpellier with financial support from the Occitanie Regional Health Agency (ARS) and developed in partnership with the Hérault CPAM, the Montpellier-Nîmes Faculty of Medicine, and the ExposUM Institute.
