ExposUM Symposium: Micro- and Nanoplastics: From Exposure to Human Health
The ExposUM Institute is pleased to invite you to the ExposUM Symposium “Micro- and Nanoplastics: From Exposure to Human Health,” an interdisciplinary meeting bringing together researchers and clinicians working on the characterization of exposure, biological effects, modeling, and public health challenges associated with micro- and nanoplastics.
Event date: November 3, 2026
Venue: Former School of Medicine, Macabie/Dugès Room (Albert 1er – Jardin des Plantes tram stop), Montpellier, France
About the symposium
This one-day symposium aims to foster the development of interdisciplinary collaborations by bringing together four complementary fields: chemistry, biology, modeling, and public policy.
The scientific program will cover:
- Sources and Atmospheric Exposure to Micro- and Nanoplastics
- Detection and quantification methods
- Biological effects on human health
- Exposure Modeling and Risk Assessment
- Innovative Mitigation Strategies and Social Challenges
In addition to invited keynote lectures, the program includes dedicated discussion sessions during coffee breaks and lunch to encourage networking and future collaborative projects.
Coffee breaks and lunch will be provided.
